It was one of those days.

Christmas this year (well last year) is what I would call interesting. Someone decided it would be a great idea to spread the flu around the Smith family (and I mean all of them). So early Christmas morning Lucy started getting sick and I was up every half hour with her. Finally she stopped throwing up but then she slept the whole day. She didn't really enjoy opening presents and really didn't want to do anything all day. Then one by one, other people started getting sick. All four in my family have had it, and all I can say is I'm glad we're done with that! I don't ever want to have a Christmas day like that again. For a more comical version of our Christmas visit www.smithplanet.com.

Other than being sick, this holiday season has been amazing. We've spent some quality time with all of Steve's family eating good food, playing games, sharing good conversations, playing in the snow, and lots of fun Christmas activities. Here's Squirt holding his gingerbread house which was eaten within 24 hours of being constructed. Lucy had her picture taken with her house too, but was so anxious to play in the snow that her picture turned out blurry!

I can't wait to see what 2009 holds in store for us. It should be an exciting adventure with growing toddlers and a new baby in the spring. And to all you Smith family members that helped us move out of our house, THANK YOU! I don't know if there's any way we could show how much we truly appreciate all you've done, but thank you for you kindness and your willingness to help!

That doesn't sound like fun. How many weeks were you when you found out what you were having?

I'm sorry everyone got sick! It's so sad to be sick during the holidays.

Yuck I hate being sick and it's no fun to deal with sick kids and around the holidays is that much worse! So you haven't kept up on the posting much so what else is going on in your life? How is the pregnancy going?
